The Faculty of Engineering is central in the establishment of Kyambogo University according to the Universities and Other Tertiary Institutions (Establishment of Kyambogo University) Instrument of 2003. We are proud to comprise a community of dedicated students and committed staff united to continue building the legacy of academic excellence that reinforces the position of Kyambogo University as a leading institution in Uganda for various engineering disciplines.
We passionately prepare students for wide-ranging careers in various engineering disciplines such as Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Oil and Gas Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, and Biomedical and Mechatronics Engineering. To do so, our engineering programmes are tailored to equip students with the relevant skills by stimulating the learners’ creativity, proactive problem-solving, analytic reasoning, critical thinking, innovation, and adaptability to handle myriad challenges of society, industries, and the service sector.
The Faculty of Engineering is proud of the large network of both local and international partnerships it established with respect to teaching, learning, research, and projects. We recognize and give utmost importance to the collaborations or partnerships from various organizations or institutions. Our alumni play important role of greatly shaping the faculty in various ways. The involvements of our alumni through their great services they offer to the country and beyond continue to enhance our efforts for achieving Kyambogo University’s motto “Knowledge and skills for service”. We are proud of many of the alumni that have supported the faculty through mentorship, teaching, and linking our students to various opportunities for work, training, and further studies.
